Wild Women On Top's Everest Adventure
In Support of the Australian Himalayan Foundation

In April/May 2012, a group of Wild Women will be trekking to Everest Base Camp in Nepal.  As part of their journey, each trekker has committed to raise funds for the Australian Himalayan Foundation.  The Foundation operates its flagship Teacher Training and Quality Education Program just a few valleys away, in a remote and disadvantaged region, where school attendance levels and literacy rates are unacceptably low.

All funds raised will be directed to this program, which will provide a better education and real opportunities for c. 50,000 children, 1,500 teachers and the communities in which they live.

Each trekker has pledged a minimum of $400 to support this project which will have a profound impact on the lives of children and families in the Solu Khumbu.  To find out more about the Australian Himalayan Foundation and its work in Nepal, India and Bhutan, please click here.
